Ralph Devlin AM QC
Ralph Devlin was admitted to the Bar in 1977 and took Silk in 2005. As a Crown Prosecutor, he appeared in many major Criminal Trials before his appointment to the Fitzgerald Inquiry and Special Prosecutor 1987-1992.
Ralph appeared as lead Counsel for the Medical Board of Queensland in Disciplinary matters, as well as in many Investigative Hearings before the Criminal Justice Commission, in the next decade. He also developed a wide Criminal Defence practice.
In the late 1990's to the current day, Ralph has become the leading Counsel in the prosecution and defence of Environmental Enforcement cases in the Criminal Courts of Queensland-a relatively new Specialty at the Bar.
He was also a senior Surf Lifesaver, serving in a Volunteer capacity as President of Surf Life Saving Queensland (2011-2016) and a member of the Board of Surf Life Saving Australia (2011-2016).
In January 2016, Ralph was awarded 'Member of the Order of Australia' (AM) for 'services to surf life saving and the law.'
